My dad set up a tent for the older grandkids (Duncan, Kylee, and Cody) to sleep out in the backyard. The kids had so much fun they asked him if they could do it again the next night. Lucky for them Grandpa was up for anything!
Cody lost his tooth in the morning while they were still playing in the tent. That must have been one wild party!
These kids were really this happy together the whole time.
Steve and Livy snuggling on the back porch and eating breakfast.
Livy wanted to check out the tent.
Showing off his new smile with Aunt Sara and Charlie.
That thing was so ready to come out for days but Cody wouldn't let anyone touch his tooth.
We went to Flat Iron Park and played tennis, played on the playground, and flew kites.
I got to hang out with Charlie for awhile.
It was fun to play tennis again. We haven't played since we lived in Utah.
Here's an extreme sport: Steve played frisbee with Cody while holding a camera and taking pictures of it all.
We couldn't leave home without the scooters!
Kylee was in need of some one-on-one time, so Grandpa took her for a little ride.
When they got back Cody was ready for a turn.
When Brooke and Tyler got home from work we went over to their apartment to get the grand tour. We even got to meet Jade, their pet snake. At first everybody was pretty timid in getting to know Jade, but then Cody warmed right up to her and didn't want to put her down.
The next morning my parents let us borrow a car to take a little trip down to Las Vegas for a few days. Knowing we would be back up to Utah for the 4th of July before going home, was kind of fun. We were able to just say "see ya later!" instead of good-bye forever.
