Video: Kylee's Penmanship

In the past few weeks Kylee has really improved her letter writing. She is writing her name over and over on every piece of paper she gets her hands on. K is her favorite letter to write as you can see in the video below.

Building a Leprechaun Trap

Cody decided to make a leprechaun trap this year. He started out by drawing his plans in a notebook and then he gathered the supplies and got to work. He made a green leprechaun hat complete with a gold buckle. Then he cut a hole in the top of the hat and put a piece of gold as bait to cover the hole. He found a stick outside to use as a ramp for the leprechaun to get to the top...

Wish him luck in catching one of those tricky little fellas.

Bubbles, Crooked Smiles, and PVC Pipes

Cody and Kylee can spend hours in the bathtub as long as they have bubbles, pvc pipes, and semi-warm water. When the bubbles go flat they turn on the jets until they've got another mountain of suds. It's safe to say that this tub will be the source of some of their happiest childhood memories.

Kylee was cracking me up with her tilted head and crooked smile. If you'll notice, she pulled this face in almost every picture.

Not to worry. They don't use the pvc pipes as straws! :) They like to blow into them and make fountains by putting the pipes on the jets and watching the water shoot out.

Making Pizza with Dad

Kylee is always good for helping me make food. She is getting really good at pouring ingredients and mixing things with a spoon. Toward the end of making dough for our pizza night Kylee asked me if we could do more cooking and less picture taking.

Shenanigans caught on tape...

On Sunday afternoon Cody and Kylee were having lots of fun running from the camera, giving each other rides, and wearing mom and dad's shoes.

Tickle Time

It didn't take too long before our little photoshoot turned nasty. Kylee and Cody had had enough and they decided to go after my (Steve) toes. They are a pretty good team. Kylee jumps on my face while Cody starts to tickle my toes.  I have to admit it was hard tickling them back while taking pictures.

Kylee, DON'T SMILE!

Sometimes it's hard to help our kids act natural when taking their picture. Most of the time they just pull cheesy grins. So this time instead of saying "smile!" we tried saying "don't smile" and it worked like a charm on Kylee. She couldn't stop laughing.

Glow-In-the-Dark Bath

The kids had fun the other night taking a bath with glow sticks.
