Christmas Decorations

A few days before Thanksgiving Steve and I realized that our Christmas tree decorations mysteriously disappeared from the basement. We searched everywhere and have no clue where they would have gone. Well, it just so happens that I had been in Hobby Lobby a few days earlier and saw that all the Christmas decorations were half price. Pure coincidence. Promise.

So the day after Thanksgiving we had fun as a family purchasing a Christmas tree, lights, garland, and ornaments to gussy up the house for Christmas!

The kids have already had lots of fun listening to Christmas music while dancing around the house with only the Christmas lights on.

We're ready for December to come!

Glasses

Kylee loves wearing glasses lately. She asked to wear my prescription glasses all the time until she found the plastic glasses in the costume box. And now they've been adopted as her own.

My favorite is when I see the glasses sitting next to her bed right by her scriptures. She is so fun.

Yesterday Kylee finally let Steve have a photo session with her and the glasses.
Livy got a chance with the glasses too (Kylee reluctantly consented).

And special thanks to Cody for being part of the support crew and holding the diffuser with his head.

First Snow

It snowed for the first time this year and Steve took the day off. Sounds like a great opportunity to bribe the girls to take some pictures. This is what he got for a stick of gum.

November First

The day after Halloween was fun because our whole family was home all day.
It feels like it's been awhile since we've had a Saturday like that.

After getting our jobs done around the house we spent the day riding bikes and hanging out together.

Steve had to lay in the middle of the street to get these pictures. I first saw him on the ground while I was walking around the neighborhood with Livy on her little bike. It freaked me out because Steve had injured his back pretty bad a few days earlier and I thought he was hurt again.

At bedtime Steve took Cody and Kylee outside and had some fun with matches (and white gas).
This is not your average jack-o-lantern. This is the mega version*

And Cody requested this animated gif so this one goes out to you, Cody.

Halloween 2014

Steve had fun taking pictures of the kids with their costumes on.
It's not every day you get to take pictures of a Ninja, a Cowgirl, and a Monkey!

Livy reminded dad that he promised her two pieces of candy for letting him take her picture.

Happy Halloween!
