Video: This Will Make Your Day...

Cody and Kylee were playing separately in the living room the other day while I was doing the dishes. Cody sneezed and Kylee busted up laughing. Cody and I looked at each other and then Cody started fake sneezing and I got it on video. We love our two little monkeys.

Thanksgiving in St. George

We went to St. George for Thanksgiving which has become a little tradition. We always miss those we leave behind up north, but it is fun to get away (which is rare for us) and see those we don't live close to. Here are some of the highlights...

Cody had uncles and cousins to wrestle with non-stop. He was in heaven. On our last day, Uncle Brooks was deflating the air mattresses, which turned into more rough-housing.

We did some shopping, which is always a treat. We put the kids to bed and took off to experience the tail end of Black Friday. Grandpa Bob was nice enough to stay home with the kids while they slept. The poor guy had to watch ESPN the entire time we were gone. We actually found a few things. Luckily, none of the items we purchased are featured in this picture.

A weekend at Nana's wouldn't be complete without late night parties in the craft room. I love doing projects with everyone. This year we made greeting cards, duct tape purses (which turned out so cute), and pajama pants. Cody even got into it this year. He made pictures for everyone using die cuts and stamps. He is down on the floor with Raquel in this picture. He was too excited about his projects to even look up for a picture.

My cute husband. He spent a lot of his time preparing his admissions essay for grad school while we were there. He works so hard, but always seems to balance his time and make his family feel special in between all he has going on.

We went to the St. George temple to see the lights.

More wrestling. For probably a half an hour Cody ran around in a circle while the guys threw pillows at him, knocking him down. Cody was begging for more. The only problem is now that Cody is just around his mom all day he is getting pretty bored. I am no fun.

Here is Cody eating with his cousin, Nikki.

On Thanksgiving Day we hiked to Johnson's Arch. It was sprinkling, but it was so much fun. Here is Kylee hiking with her dad.

Thanks Nana and Grandpa Bob for a wonderful weekend--for opening your home to us and making us feel so loved. We love you!

Hunting for a Christmas Tree

We had fun hunting for a Christmas tree again this year. I was so excited I almost couldn't sleep the night before. Christmas is on its way!

Ever since Cody learned that he could eat snow he has been hooked. He had so much fun trudging up the mountain with his aunts and making up songs as they went.

Kylee was good the entire time. She loves to be outside. Luckily it wasn't too cold.

We found a perfect little tree that fits in our apartment. I'll have to post a picture soon. It is Cody's job to turn on the lights when we wake up and to unplug them when we leave the house. Cody likes to rearrange the ornaments constantly too. So, not only do we have a REAL tree that is like no other, it is also uniquely decorated from moment to moment.
