Our family got to take a very quick trip to Indiana for a weekend to visit the Bleazard's for Colton's baby blessing. It was our first time meeting Colton and it was worth the 20 hours of driving in three days to be able to visit our closest family members. It was fun to finally meet Tyler's parents too.
Before we left on our trip Steve and Kylee cleaned and vacuumed our car. They did a really good job--a little too good. I forgot to tell Steve that the driver's seat electric adjustment controls were broken (you could move it up, down, and back, but NOT forward). I found that out a while ago, but I just made sure I never moved the seat back. Well, since Steve didn't know about it (he doesn't drive it as much as I do) he moved the seat all the way back as far as it would go so that he could vacuum. This made for an interesting 10 hour drive to Indiana....
Here is little Stevie driving with two pillows behind his back so that he can reach the pedals. Luckily he was able to do some rearranging with the wiring before we left for home so he didn't have to drive like this on the way home. :)
Lacey and Tyler took us to a burger place where they are famous for a burger with peanut butter on it.
"Crabby but Cute"
There aren't any tables. There's just one long counter that winds through the restaurant.
Steve was brave and tried the peanut butter burger. It was surprisingly tasty.
Lacey and Tyler have this awesome little town zoo by their house that was a lot of fun. They had Wallaby's...
miniature ponies
And a plastic cow to milk.
I gave Cody some pointers (I've got 6 months of milking as a missionary under my belt)
Yep, these forearms still have it.
Livy loves animals...from a distance. So when we went into the pen with the goats it was a bit traumatizing for her.
Livy: "He's gonna get me, Dad. He's gonna get me."
(That's what she says any time she is in close range with an animal.)
This sweet baby goat hopped up on the stump next to Livy and she lost it. She was screaming. It was so funny because the goat didn't even touch her.
Looking at the chickens.
Steve is touching an armadillo.
On the morning of Colton's blessing Steve and I got a few pictures of Colton in the same white tuxedo that Cody was blessed in. He was amazingly good for his photo session and we ended up getting a ton of really good pictures of him for Lacey and Tyler.
Cute little family. Colton did amazing during the blessing too. He didn't cry at all.
I finally finished my first quilt and gave it to Colton.
I think he likes it.
We had a great time in Indiana!
Thanks Bleazard family for letting us come stay!
