Cody and Kylee had a great first day of school this year. They ride the same bus and both have friends from their classes that ride our bus too. They like their teachers and have been making new friends.
Kylee is in Kindergarten and has Ms. Prunesti
Every day Kylee marches off the bus in the afternoon with her tongue in her cheek because she's trying not to smile because she feels so cool. Every day we ask her how her day was and every day she sighs and says she doesn't have any homework (she wants it so bad).
Cody is in 3rd grade and has Mr. DiMaggio.
One day Cody missed the bus after school because he was reading so intently (like he always does) and didn't even realize that the other kids had left. He was reading so quietly that his teacher didn't realize he was still there. Luckily, his teacher called me right as the bus pulled up to our bus stop and dropped off Kylee so I didn't have a chance to panic. Honestly, I'm surprised this hasn't happened before now. :) When Cody is reading at home it's pretty hard to get his attention.
