Olivia turned three on Friday the 13th!
When we were heading out the door to get Cody and Kylee to the bus stop, our neighbor, Miss Barbara, was outside and she came up to the kids with a big smile on her face and said, "Do you know what today is?" Before the kids could respond, Miss Barbara said, "It's Friday the 13th!"
Once again the kids didn't really know what to say because I don't think they really know about that.
Then Olivia said, "Yes! It's my birthday today! I'm three!" and held up three fingers.
Livy loves to rock the snow boots all year long. This is what she tries to get away with wearing every time we leave the house, so she usually ends up wearing them in the mornings when we take the kids to the bus stop because we are usually in a rush.
When Cody and Kylee got home from school, everyone hovered over the presents while we waited for Steve to get home from work.
Once Steve got home, she didn't waste any time getting started.
A water bottle from Grandma Tammy and Grandpa Airplane...
"I love this!"
Also from Grandma Tammy and Grandpa Airplane a little tablet computer.
Clapping to the music.
She also got a fun package from Grandma Ellen and Grandpa Dean full of treats, a swimming suit, and her favorite cereal: Poppin' Pebbles. We tried to get a video of her saying how much she loves the cereal, but we didn't quite catch it.
Brooke made a birth announcement for Livy too! I love how it turned out.

After opening presents we headed out to Cafe Rio and had a great meal (as always).
Then it was time to blow out candles...
We made a birthday "cake" out of donuts this year. It was perfect for making a number three.
Livy helped Steve light the candles once and then she blew them out before we could blink. She got so excited to blow them out that she forgot about the singing part. So she lit them again!
Her smile was so cute while we were singing.
Nice job blowing out the candles...again!
We sure love our Livy Lou. She is full of fun and likes to tease, but she's also very sweet and thoughtful too. Every day she will say, "Thank you, mom, for _________" (the (fhe) lesson, letting me watch a movie, for reading books to me, for blowing bubbles with me, etc). Always in a sincere way and always something specific. It melts me like a popsicle on the 4th of July.
>> HAPPY BIRTHDAY! <<
