The Day Has FINALLY Arrived!

For the past 16 months (exactly today) ever since Kylee was born I have been waiting and hoping and wishing and planning for the day when she had enough hair to wear a barrette. Yesterday was the magical day. She must have know that it was her big 16 month milestone just around the corner. Here is the proof!

The barrette didn't stay in her hair longer than 2 minutes because she pulled it out soon after these pictures were taken. BUT just knowing that the possibility is there makes my life complete.

Grow hair! Grow!

Does This Mean We Are Officially 'Burghers?

Last week we got out PA license plates!

And yesterday we got our car inspected...

...and $250 later we drove away with these ridiculously huge, glittery stickers on our windshield to prove that we are legal. Snazzy, eh?

Fun & Funky Family Facts

Steve is in heaven when Kylee or Cody falls asleep in his arms, but it's pretty rare. Kylee fell asleep in his arms last Sunday and it made his day!

Cody wearing Kylee's hat and acting goofy. Totally normal at our house.

It's so funny to see Kylee walking around with Cody's hat down over her eyes. She bumps and stumbles through the house and laughs the whole time.

We went to the Children's Museum again on Friday. The kids get so excited when I pull their car seats out to transfer them to our friends' van that they sit on the lawn and strap themselves in until they get here.

Other Fun Facts:

When Kylee burps she says, "excuse you."

When I checked on Cody and his friend Sarah in his room the other night they had smudged diaper rash cream in the carpet and on the walls. Cody quickly said, "Mom, Sarah just needed to decorate."

Kylee started calling Steve by his name today instead of "Daddy." Hilarious! When Steve told me that tonight at dinner I asked Kylee, "where's Steve?" She smiled a big cheesy grin and pointed at her daddy.

Today Cody came to me crying and holding his tummy and said, "I'm hurting." When I asked him what hurt he said, "my feelings."

Kylee always looks for your belly button and then pokes it with her finger and says, "BEEP!"

They Like Me Too Much

1. "Too much"
Cody always says "too much" when he means "so much."  When I hand the Costco employee our receipt (they check your receipt as you leave the store), they always draw a smiley face and then hand the receipt to Cody. That is Cody's favorite part about going to Costco. On the way to the car he'll always ask me why they do that and I say, "because they think you are SO cool." Then he'll say with a big smile, "they like me too much, huh?"

2. Pittsburgh has Bagels
Now that we have a Costco membership we have really gotten into eating bagels. We've always liked them, but we never bought them in Utah. So when Grandma Tammy talked to Cody on the phone one day she asked him about Pittsburgh. He said, "I like it! They have bagels here, Grandma!"

3. Confused
The other night, Cody gave the best excuse he has ever given for doing something he wasn't supposed to do. When Steve asked him why he cut a whole in his shorts with his scissors he said, "I didn't mean to, Dad. I was confused." Cody had his back to me, and I started laughing. Steve looked at me and finally had to turn away from Cody because he couldn't hold it in any longer. It was pretty hard to stay tough with that one.

If you go to Rollip.com you can turn your pictures into retro polaroids. Cool! (Thanks for the tip, Lisa)

$2.50 To Look This Good

I found a used children's clothing store and found some great deals. Kylee is sporting a $2.50 brown dress with pink polka dots. She looked ravishing at church today, I might add.

Underage Driving

Today Cody and his neighbor friend Ellie got to take Ellie's car for a ride in the driveway (with no keys, of course).
