Cody Turns 11

Grandma Tammy came to visit for a week and celebrated Cody's birthday with us!

He already got a trampoline from his awesome parents and some new shoes, clothes, and fun stuff from Grandpa Dean and Grandma Ellen when we visited them for the 4th of July.

On his birthday his sisters gave him an air soft mask. And Grandma Tammy and Grandpa Airplane gave him a new watch and the game Pie Face.

When Harry Potter turns 11 he finds out that he's a wizard. 

Leading up to Cody's birthday we were quoting Hagrid all the time:

"It's not everyday yer young man turns eleven, now, is it?"

So we went with the Harry Potter theme...

Brooke and Tyler sent him an acceptance letter to Hogwarts.

And we decided to make a cake that looked like the cake Hagrid made for Harry.

Without even planning it, Cody had chosen a pink lemonade flavor for his cake and frosting before we realized Harry's cake was pink. Nice!

And then we cracked up playing Pie Face!

I love this picture of Grandma Tammy reading "How to Babysit a Grandma" with the girls and they are just watching her the whole time. 

We went to an orchard right by our house and had fun picking peaches and nectarines.

Cody picked a peach that was over a pound.

 The kids had fun drawing silly pictures where they draw a head and then fold the paper down and pass it to the next person and each do different parts of the body.

After church they painted some canvases to be displayed in the library as a part of the summer reading program.
