Someday I may forget things that seem pretty normal to me right now like...
1.
The way Kylee picks up Livy from a laying position to a sitting position on the floor. It reminds me of branding cattle on my mission.
2.
How Olivia waves at her reflection in the window when she is sitting in her highchair.
3.
Cody talking non-stop about cobra snakes and how he makes a million versions of snake heads with his hands including the King Cobra ("he's the one that controls the other cobras, mom"). He always wants to teach me a new way to make a cobra with my fingers and it's usually when my hands are full or covered in raw chicken juice.
4.
Cody's new favorite game: guess my word. Basically hangman without writing anything down. We play at the doctor's office, at bedtime, in the car, anywhere.
5.
Kylee gets to watch Tangled once she gets 7 stickers on her Big Girl Chart for keeping her bed dry for 7 nights.
6.
The way Livy goes to sleep: wrap her up in her blanket with her arms out, lay her down in her crib, she turns her head and sticks in her left thumb, lays her right arm out straight so you can place Lucky on her arm, then she puts her arm around Lucky and rolls on her left side. Every time.
7.
Kylee's obsession with paper. She cuts up every piece of paper she can get her hands on into little tiny pieces. They are her treasures and she often surprises us with little gifts of precious paper piles. She fills up her purses with bits of paper, a kitchen drawer I designated for paper (to help keep me sane), her play kitchen, and the drawer in our kitchen table where we used to keep placemats. I keep reminding myself that someday the paper treasures will be no more. Until then we will appreciate her expressions of love.
8.
Cody being a great pen pal to the Fish kids who are quarantined in their home in Utah and can't go anywhere for a year. He is such a fun person and I love seeing the things he comes up with in his letters. He makes up little games and asks thoughtful questions. He is a great friend.
9.
Ever since we had a Family Home Evening lesson on Service, Kylee thinks it's funny to say that she is serving herself when she is doing something like getting her own water bottle out of the fridge.
10.
Cody's New Year's Resolution to read at least 10 verses from the Book of Mormon every night. He is already 10 chapters into The Book of Mosiah. Kylee is also reading (listening to) one verse every night from her own copy of the Book of Mormon.
