Confession: I think I am a beach bum. It's true.
So, I went to Rio Del Mar last Friday with a group of moms and kids and we had so much fun. So much fun in fact that we went again the very next day as a family. And we loved it just as much the next day. I would definitely consider that a very beach bummy thing to do, wouldn't you?
Rio Del Mar Beach is our favorite so far. It has a river that runs right through the middle of the beach and into the ocean. It is a really fun place for the kids to play in the water without it being too cold or too deep.
I am taking this picture with my back to the ocean. The water was only ankle deep so it so perfect for the kids.
Cody is definitely a beach bum too. Look at him! This is Day #2 and he is loving every minute. The funny thing is my kids don't even care about getting in the ocean they just want to play in the sand. If you take them away from the sand - even for a minute - they will ask to go back to their spot in the sand. It makes being a mom REALLY easy.

For those of you who might have a glimmer of hope that I might have a little bit of a tan let me just tell you right now that I am still just as white as ever.

Can I just say that you guys are living in the best place on earth right now! That is where I grew up! I grew up in SAN JOSE! And our most favorite beach to go to was Rio Del Mar! I am so so so jealous! Could you go across the parking lot to the over priced convenient store on the corner and pick me up some red vines!?! Beach bums love red vines...they get nice and soft in the summer sun!
PS - Tiff I was wondering about your tan! You have beautiful skin!
I am so jealous!!! I grew up at the beach (and got lots of sunburns and blisters - and then it went away and I was white again!) so, I can totally empathize! Glad to see you are having such a great time. We miss you - is the summer over yet???
