Brooke and Tyler were fortunate enough to make a trip to Australia this past summer. They were kind enough to bring back loads of loot for the rest of us who were not so fortunate. A giant box came to our door overflowing with gifts and treats galore like boomerangs and chocolate (lots and lots of chocolate!)
This is how we were introduced to the one and only Tim Tam Slam: an Australian treat.
(I guess you could say it's the treat worth flying around the world for).
First, you mix up a warm cup of this chocolate drink (it's not hot choco, but I can't remember the name of it). Then, you take a Tim Tam (which is a wafer cookie dipped in chocolate) and bite off two opposite corners to create a straw. Then, you dip your cookie-straw into the cup and suck up the drink. And finally, you cram the gooey, warm cookie into your mouth and let it melt into a heavenly pile of mush in your mouth.
Needless to say we enjoyed them very much!
After the treats were devoured we turned our attention to our other Aussie gifts...
We tried our hand at throwing boomerangs!
Steve lost the correct form on one of his throws and his boomerang didn't come back.
It took a little while to find it :)
But we did!

Being scoffed at for clearing Australian grocery store shelves and then lugging it all the way across the world made us feel really special!
