Here are 10 reasons why in no particular order...
1
Livy has not one but TWO bottom teeth poking through her little gums! And she hasn't been cranky at all--they just appeared overnight.
2
When we arrived at the airport in Maryland and stepped out into the cold weather Kylee turned to me and asked, "who maked it cold?" (Las Vegas we miss you! :)
3
Cody has turned in 363 Box Tops and is the top collector at his school so far this year.
(Thanks to everyone who saves Box Tops for him--he loves it!)

Livy had her 6 month check up on Wednesday--15 pounds! I brought Kylee with me as my "big helper". I told Kylee that I needed her to help Livy since she would be getting some shots. Well, after we got there they recommended that Livy get the flu shot also (after 6 months babies can have a flu shot). Then I realized that Kylee should have it too. The only problem was I hadn't prepared Kylee for a shot and I was worried about her freaking out. After the nurse left the room to get the shots I broke the news to her: "Kylee, you're going to need a shot today too so that you won't get sick." And then I braced myself. Without hesitation she said, "OK. Where are they gonna put it?" I told her it would be in her arm.
Her response: "Where do I sit?"
It was incredible. She was actually more concerned with where she should sit than with getting a shot.
Then when she got the shot she barely winced and that was it! Can you believe that? We are talking about our little Firecracker here who could have screamed and kicked until the walls fell down. But she was so brave.

Cody has a certain seat he likes to sit in at the dinner table. The other day while he and Kylee were sitting down for breakfast I heard him say, "we have science seats remember Kylee? This is where I sit."
I had to laugh when I realized that he meant assigned not science. :)

Kylee has been a big help around the house lately. She loves to fold all the "square" things when we are putting away the clean laundry: washrags, towels, baby blankets, and burp rags. She was so proud of her work last Saturday that she carried them around the house until they were more like a pile of blankets instead of a stack.

Kylee and I worked out the other day to a video. She loves to exercise. Well, the video required weights and she wanted her own set so she grabbed some plastic mugs from her play kitchen to use as weights and stuck with me throughout the whole video. It was so cute. Then, the next day she worked out to the video using two of her play frying pans.

It's no secret that Livy likes her thumb, but there's a new development. She sucks on her toes almost as much. And sometimes her thumb and her toes are in her mouth at the same time. It's getting pretty crowded in that mouth of hers: 1 thumb, 2 teeth, and 10 toes.

Speaking of Kylee being brave she has been excited to go to Primary this year and has been talking about going to the "same Primary as Cody" for a few months now. She even went to Primary on January 1st while we were still in Las Vegas which was surprising to me because Cody stayed with us and Kylee could have gone to Nursery with Grandpa Airplane since he helps in there. But no, she wanted to go to Primary all by herself. And our first Sunday back in Maryland she went right in and sat by her new teacher even though she had never met her before.
Also, she has been asking me to not walk her to the door when I drop her off for preschool. On the way there she reminds me several times that she doesn't want me to walk with her and then gives me a hug at the car and marches up to the door only to look back to make sure I'm not following. It's kind of sad for me that she is so independent, but I guess it's better than refusing to leave my side right?

Livy is so excited about baby food that her little legs are kicking away the whole time she's in her high chair. It's pretty funny because her whole body bounces up and down.
Kylee with her stack of folded laundry after carrying it around all afternoon. Love this girl!
